Yesterday evening I had a very nice surprise. One guy [that I had a thing for, some years ago] called me
. First I didn’t recognize his voice and he tried to refresh my memory by telling me “Do u remember a guy from Galati that u had a crush on?” Oh, of course I remember him. How to forget? I must tell you that in that period I was madly in love with him, even though I didn’t know him so well and we’d met just 2-3 times [but heavily talking over the phone and messenger]. Just like that, without any major reasons to like him, he seemed to be the perfect guy. [I think it is something natural for teenagers to act like this, as my little brother is having the same experiences now.]
Anyway, it was nice to talk with him after 3-4 years of not-knowing anything about his life [not that I know more now, because I was the one answering his questions]. A short recap of the interview would look like this:
- How are u and what have u done lately?
- Have u got married?
- What are u doing in Hong Kong?
- Oh, are u still involved with AIESEC?
- Have u thought about me in the last year?
- U know, I am always thinking of you when I listen to that song by Dina Vaas [this was unexpected].
- When do u leave for HK?
- Would u like to meet me next week? [wow!!!]
I said Yes!, so next week I might meet him again, as he is coming for a short holiday to Mamaia.
It was the perfect timing for the call and meeting, as at the end of the week, I am flying to Hong Kong for a year [with one stop in Istanbul to meet friends].
Now I must reconsider my decision to cancel my Vodafone number [that I've had for 7 years now]. One never knows when someone from the past comes again into one’s life.
